CCNL Steering Committee

The goal of the steering committee is to help guide and represent CCNL,

and to increase Christian awareness in our area.

Campus Crusade for Christ A Businessman who is a Christian, Bill has been involved for over 50 years in London businesses and with starting 39 different corporations.  Bill is on the Board of Campus Crusade for Christ and Director on the Steering Committee for CCNL.

Don Hill, Chancellor

Retired Businessman

As a retired home builder & retail shoe store owner,  Don has been the president of C.B.M.C., Leighton Ford lay team member, elder at Southdale Bible Chapel & President/Board member of the Canadian Bible Society. He was also an agent for the Eternal Life Insurance Co. Married to Joy for 50 years,  he is father of 4 children & 13 grandchildren.  He has been a lay speaker at churches, camps, banquets & retreats in Southern Ontario, and leads a weekly men's Bible Study group.  When time allows,  Don can be found on the golf course.

Terry Ingram,  CCNL Chairman

Minister,  Oakridge Presbyterian

Born in Ottawa, Terry is a graduate of Carleton, McGill and Wilfred Laurier Universities in Ontario, and the Pittsburg Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1976 and served in a charge in the Kitchener area.  This year, 2006, marks Terry's 25th year at Oakridge Presbyterian Church in London Ontario.  Canoeing is a passion of his in warmer months or a good day fishing all of which provide relaxation. 

Pieter Pereboom, Director

Pastor, First Christian Reformed Church

Pieter Pereboom, is Lead Pastor of First Christian Reformed Church in London.  After spending his formative years growing up in Edmonton, Pieter earned degrees from Calvin College and the University of Iowa.  He then spent a number of years teaching Film Studies at UWO.  While there Pieter felt a strong call to ministry and stepped into a position as Youth Pastor at First CRC serving for 10 years.  In 2002 he became the Lead Pastor of that congregation on Talbot Street in downtown London.  In winters, in his time off, he can be found at an arena playing pickup hockey or cross country skiing.  In summers on a soccer field, as well as caring for his patch of Carolinian Forest.

Bob Ripley, Director

Minister, Metropolitan United Church

Since 1994, Bob Ripley has been the Senior Minister of Metropolitan United Church in London Ontario.  With a congregation of 2000, it is the largest mainline protestant congregation in Canada.  Bob is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto.  He is a founding director of the Christian Churches Network of London and an avid marathoner.  His weekly newspaper column is distributed across Canada by the Toronto Star Syndicate.  In addition Bob is the author of four books. And is currently writing his doctoral thesis for Fuller Theological Seminary in California.

Terry Sanderson, Director

Pastor, North Park Community Church

Terry grew up on a dairy farm near Tillsonburg Ontario. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 1983, he went on to pursue a Masters of Theology Degree at Dallas Theological seminary with a major in Pastoral Ministry. For two years following graduation, he served at Family Bible Church in Dublin, California, near Oakland. In 1989, Terry came to North Park to serve as the Associate Pastor and in 1997 was asked to serve as Pastoral Team Leader. Terry is married to Chantelle, and they have two daughters Jenna and Jadyn. Terry serves as a board member for International Teams Canada. He was a founding member of the Christian Churches Network of London.

Barry Slauenwhite, Director

President, Compassion Canada

Rev. Barry Slauenwhite is President and CEO of Compassion Canada, an international child development mission organization operating in 26 countries based in London, Ontario. He also serves as the chair of Viva Network North America, The International Alliance for Missions and the Servant Ministries Network of London.

Mike Wilkins, Director

Pastor, West London Alliance Church

Mike Wilkins studied English Literature at Queen’s University in Kingston. Following graduation in 1977, and the publication of several books for children, he worked as an editor for a publisher of children’s books in Richmond Hill. He and his wife Deb lived in Richmond Hill and became members of Bayview Glen Church in Toronto. Their volunteer work in Christian camping led them to leave their jobs in 1979 to live and work full-time at Caledon Teen Ranch. A year later, in January 1981, Mike was appointed Bayview Glen Church’s first Minister of Discipleship. Mike was ordained in 1983 and in September 1984 became pastor of West London Alliance Church, where he has been living happily ever after.
