Light and Salt Webinar
By David Foster
In these unprecedented times the world certainly needs some good news.
As followers of Jesus we have the very best Good News to share! What is holding us back from being the salt and light that we are all meant to be? How can we be more effective in sharing the message of his salvation to those around us? You are invited to an interactive Witness Webinar offering practical insights and skills that you can put into practice in your everyday encounters.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CARE PACKAGE INITIATIVE
Saturday, September 12, 2020
(volunteer signup by Aug 31st please)
The Care Package Initiative is an outreach to international college and university students currently living in London. It's a way to encourage students who are often isolated, alone, and without a support network.
The best part of these packages is the people giving them, as each volunteer is encouraged to continue a relationship with the student (and sometimes a whole family!), sharing the love of God through authentic friendship.
Our June 2020 pilot was a huge success, with 100 students from 15 countries, 30 volunteers and 20 community partners. Thank you to everyone who participated, and who is still connecting with their students.
In September we will be serving 200 additional students.
Want to get involved?
90 volunteers are needed for any of the following:
- PRAY for the students, volunteers, partners, and the project.
- GATHER products and services to include in the bags. We are looking for fun and functional items, and food from their home countries.
- ASSEMBLE the bags on Saturday, September 12th at the Youth for Christ building
- DELIVER the bags to students. Each volunteer can determine how many bags, typically 1-5 students.
- DONATE funds to cover the cost of these bags. The budget is around $6,000 (~$30 / student). Tax receipts are available.
Please pray about how you may be involved. This is an exciting way to bring life and hope, especially at a time like this.
