Summary:
Pause in a moment of quiet and ask Jesus to open the eyes and ears of your heart, your mind, and your life to His voice as we enter this conversation.
There is a heaviness, a weariness in our thinking and outlook. No easy answers. (Matthew 11: 28-30; Galatians 5: 16-18)
We’d love to live freely, God! But right now, people everywhere seem to be angry at each other, and being around angry people gets us angry too. (Galatians 5: 22-23)

5. "The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill" podcast - https://christianitytoday.com/ct/podcasts/rise-and-fall-of-mars-hill/ produced by Christianity Today, hosted by Mike Cosper. It explores a cautionary tale using the difficult example of Mars Hill Church, Seattle, revealing tough questions about challenges of leadership, church and rebuilding faith while knowing both the amazing, life-transforming work of God and church as a dangerous, abusive environment. Many Gen Y and Z young people are listening to this as they seek to sort out their personal faith with God and thereby His church.

Four gifts of Christmas
Holy Father, help us all every day throughout this advent, to pause and make space of five or ten minutes for stillness and silence with you - to be grateful, to invite you into your dailies to direct our steps and our attention, and allow you our God to quiet our hearts and minds.... and fill us such with glorious, inexpressible joy that it spills out of us on the city of London! Joy to the world.

Here we Stand
SUMMARY FOR NOVEMBER 2021, together we stand as the Church
1. Stand for: those in Military service, to honor them, to respect their courage and sacrifice and to thank them
2. Stand with: those who have suffered from racial bias, then and now - probe our hearts God to reveal what changes are needed in our lives
3. Stand up: Isaiah 61 reminds us that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been and should always be good news to all in transforming our world and we can be part of God's work in doing that
4. Stand back: be still, observe, listen and learn with a posture of humility
5. Stand among: the people of questionable reputation that Jesus loved
6. Stand beside: the unseen servants, those grieving, those who are weary
