As a network, CCNL strives to provide opportunities for Christian leaders in both churches and Christian ministry in London and area to connect, learn and grow together - all for the Kingdom of God to flourish in our community.

What we do

Christian Churches Network of London is a team of Christian leaders connecting Church leadership for the flourishing of the community of London.

"Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function,  so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other." Romans 12:4-5

"But the word of God continued to spread and flourish."  Acts 12:24 ( NIV)

OUR MISSION

Connections matter....

because they may lead to more understanding, which may lead to greater encouragement, collaboration, or even shared resources, which may lead to stronger relationships. We do need to know one another by name as 'nearby family' - a reminder that we are not alone as leaders.

Catalytic Gatherings....

because when sparked by the Spirit, things happen when leaders talk, safely  explore ideas and issues. When people come together and share passions and God given gifts, when disruptions or crisis occur, when new opportunities arise, Kingdom initiatives can be fanned into flame.

Unity in diversity....

because what we share in common as Christian leaders is much greater than our varied differences. We desire to cultivate a number of ways to celebrate and appreciate both!

His Kingdom come....

because Jesus came proclaiming the Good News of His Kingdom.  As local expressions in London, we must further justice causes, seek freedom, promote equity, provide relief from suffering, and invite all to relationships with God.

Relevance today....

because we need up-to-date understanding & intentionality to navigate and engage in our rapidly changing culture and context for the church and Christian ministries to be significant now,  and for tomorrow.

OUR VISION

In order to build relationships, leadership, and bridges in the community, these five strategic directions shape our vision.

We will seek:

1. To actively engage more diversity in CCNL - cultural/ethnicity, age, gender, denominational & theological diversity. All those who believe in the name and saving work of Christ should see themselves in the future of God’s kingdom at work in this city with other Christian leaders.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”(John 13:34-35 ESV)

2. To provide greater opportunities to expose Christian leaders to the social needs and resources within London. We desire to bring His "shalom", be His "peace-bringers" into broken realities in this community.
“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25:40

3. To provide and promote a variety of stimulating environments where church leaders in London can connect, learn and grow together. This is the kind of environment we want to create.
“Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.” 1 Thess. 5

4. To ensure sustainability of CCNL both in governance and in finances.
Good stewards and refreshed leadership “guard what God has entrusted to us.”

5. To embrace new technology proactively as part of the accomplishment of the mission. Unprecedented changes in communication tools compel us“ to know and understand our times “ like the men of Issachar in 1 Chronicles

BASIS OF UNITY

  • We believe in the one eternal God, Creator and Sustainer of the world, existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of His will.

  • We affirm the divine inspiration and unique authority of the Scriptures in their entirety: the Old and the New Testament.

  • We believe there is one Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, who died for our sins, was raised from the dead and offers the free gift of eternal life, the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit to all who receive Him through faith.

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit who makes known the glory of Jesus Christ. He leads and guides and gathers a diversity of believers into a new community: the church, the body of Christ. He sends the church into the world with the good news of Christ to make disciples of all nations

COVENANT OF MUTUAL RESPECT

  • We covenant together to conduct ourselves with respect, love and a willingness to learn from one another. Through the diversity of our perspectives and our ability to work together, we will reflect the nature of God, the Creator and Lord of all and of Christ, who “reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”
